Hi, I’m Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo, the founder of Jnanasukha Foundation, dedicated to preserving and sharing The Profound Path of the Dakini Heart Essence (zab lam mkha’ gro thugs thig) cycle of the Dudjom New Treasures (Dudjom Tersar). In 1992, Repkong Lama Tharchin Tsedrup Rinpoche enthroned me as a lama and lineage holder of this profound Dudjom lineage.
Shortly afterward, Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche told me—casually as we were driving—that everything I would ever need was contained in The Dakini Heart Essence compendium. These words gradually grew into the basis of my life and the establishment of Jnanasukha Foundation a decade later.
After forty-seven years of Vajrayana study and practice, today, my guiding star is offering traditional and applied learning in the context of heartfelt connection.
In 2009, auspicious connections brought me to the birthplace of Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal in Tibet. Ever since, I’ve brought others through many pilgrimages.
Born in Montreal, Canada, in 1949, I lived on the Big Island of Hawai‘i for thirty-four years and now make my home in the Lhasa Valley-like city of Reno, Nevada.
